March 18, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$95Big magic can happen in small moments
Many of us have days where we feel we barely have time to breathe. We can feel as if we are running to keep up with life, that time gets away from us, that we are so busy showing up for the world, we forget how to show up for ourselves.
After a while, living at such a pace means our bodies get unfamiliar with how to relax and hyper-familiar with the state of being stressed or under pressure. There is a lack of balance, and it hurts. Life can become so full-on that we no longer enjoy the simple pleasures we once did. What’s more, we can miss the magic when we are caught up in a conveyer belt of tasks, chores and stresses. Statistics show that 90% of illnesses are stress-related in some way.
As humans, we crave meaningful experiences, growth and connection. We also know that learning what helps our nervous system to heal and repair is an important skill to cultivate. What often hinders people from moving towards these healthy things is a feeling that they are too busy to take a pause and that even if they do, it won’t be enough to clear the overwhelm.
The amazing news is that there is now plenty of evidence to show regular “micro dosing” of brief, conscious awareness-practices during the day adds up to a whole host of benefits: it keeps us whole, it keeps us in the healing process, it allows our nervous system to do its work. The more variety of these we find and the closer these are to what makes us thrive, the more we benefit.
Join me to explore a range of evidence-based practices and habits, that can be “micro-dosed” your own life and that, while not being too demanding of your time and energy can create lasting change -allowing you to meet challenges with resilience, heal the blocks that are keeping you from positive developments in your life and spend more of your life feeling relaxed, happy, alert and who you are meant to be.
“Since becoming aware of these practices, I find I now have permission to slow down. I can enjoy the simple, exquisite, moments my life offers me. I savour time with my son – stories, hugs, puddles, conversations – it all becomes heightened, delicate, and lush. It’s a way to tap in to my innate and natural tendency to ‘live my own bliss’ and ‘to be in the flow’. If nothing else, this means loving the exquisite unfolding of ordinary life.”
